Living in UK, I can’t help missing Sicily. I love english lifestyles and being in a great place. But I grew up close to the sea, with the power and the heat of the sunbeams, and I have been eating proper genuine food since I was born. That’s why I recommend everybody to go on holiday in Italy and visit Sicily, at least once in a lifetime.
Sicily is not just sea and sun – even though we are talking about one of the best places in the world where to enjoy them. It’s where culture and folklore meet passion and emotions, where lying on the beach can mean quiet and peace in a pristine place or even party and pleasure in a busy and joyful athmosphere, such as festivals and events at sea – or close to – that Sicily offers. Or – for mountains lover – it can mean a hike on Etna volcano, with a tour between craters, a relaxed walk uphill the Nebrodi or even an hard rock climbing in San Vito Lo Capo – known for the cous cous as well.
Hence going on holiday to Sicily is definitely a good choice for a family, for a group of friends, for a couple or for retired people. Why? Here it’s a photos list of 10 reasons to visit it, but honestly I think there would be even more, because Sicily enchants, no matter what.
